UIN Online – The students of Safety and Work Health specialization (K3) of Public Health Department of Health Science Faculty (FIK) of UIN Alauddin held the industrial visit to PT. Semen Bosowa Maros. Thursday, December 11th, 2014.

K3 itself is a field related to health, safety, and welfare of the people who work in an institution or in a project location. The goal of K3 is to maintain the health and safety of the work environment. Through this activity, the students could observe directly the governance of K3 in the industry.

This visit was followed by 25 students of K3 specialization and some advisors / lecturers who also attended. As expressed by Imeilda Dwi Bestari, one of the students who participated in the visit.

"This activity is very interesting because we can see directly the implementation of K3 in PT. Bosowa Maros, we only see the pictures so far," said Imeilda, the student of K3.

The students belonging to K3 specialization could understand further the state of the industry, especially the application of K3, considering the number of work accidents that increase more in Indonesia.
