UIN Online – The students of Hospital Management Specialization (MARS) of Public Health Department of Health Science Faculty (FIK) of Alauddin State Islamic University (UIN Alauddin) of Makassar are not only excel in their academic but also they continually make the innovation, as shown at the time of business launching of bowl meatballs. Tuesday, January 12th, 2015.

The idea of making bowl meatballs came from one of the courses of MARS, Business and Entrepreneurship, in order to increase the students’ independence and responsibility to the community, to improve knowledge about the entrepreneurship, to reduce the unemployment, and to assist students in getting hygiene and healthy food.

Fitrah Mandani, one of the students of MARS, stated that a brand which was realized in the form of business activities such as bowl meatballs became the reflection and motivation of the students to develop their entrepreneurial potential.

"We hope to open a branch in another place, at this time, our bowl meatball business is located in FIK building of UIN Alauddin," said Fitrah.

In addition, the success of the MARS’ students in making bowl meatballs is closely related to the direction and guidance of their lecturer, Rusmin, SKM., MARS., who always appreciate and motivate the students in making bowl meatball business.

Bowl meatballs made by the students of MARS has a unique appearance to rake in the consumers’ tastes, and has a variety of flavors, such as, original meatballs, cheese fried meatballs, egg fried meatballs, chocolate fried meatballs, and chili fried meatballs.
